Wat komt er uit Europa af op het insolventierecht: conferentie te Leuven op donderdag 26 en vrijdag 27 maart

De nieuwe EU-Insolventierichtlijn zal weldra moeten worden omgezet door de nationale wetgever. In maart stelt de Commissie het zgn. “28ste regime” voor, met een luik insolventierecht. De Europese Insolventieverordening (2015) wordt op korte termijn herzien.

Het is dan ook geen overdrijving van te spreken van een Big Bang in het Europese insolventierecht. CERIL (Conference of European Insolvency and Restructuring Lawyers) brengt daarom op donderdag 26 en vrijdag 27 maart beleidsmakers, praktizijnen en academici samen in het stemmige, maar onterecht onbekende, Iers College te Leuven voor een conferentie die dit jaar gehost wordt door de KU Leuven (Instituut voor Insolventierecht).

De conferentie is voor Belgische magistraten en leden van de rechterlijke orde erkend door het IGO. Er is erkenning aangevraagd bij OVB en IBJ voor 7 punten. De inschrijvingsprijs omvat koffiepauzes, lunch en een diner op donderdagavond in de Faculty Club te Leuven. De CERIL-conferenties, eerder in Leiden en Vilnius, brengen traditioneel heel wat vooraanstaande insolventiespecialisten uit Europa en daarbuiten samen.
