Roel Verheyden

Roel Verheyden is a doctoral researcher at the Institute for Commercial and Insolvency Law at KU Leuven. He is currently working on a research proposal under the supervision of Professor Joeri Vananroye.

Research interests

Roel’s research interests include commercial law, company law and insolvency law. The topic of his doctoral proposal is the autocratic position of the trustee in bankruptcy. The research project aims to set-up a balanced bankruptcy governance-system with more participation of creditors in the governance of the estate.
